I’ve heard good things about Breville products, but so far nothing that particularly points toward BIFL — the warranty period for this toaster oven, for example, is the usual one year, nothing exceptional. What is there to indicate it’s less likely to break down than some other brand? Also, does the company have a track record of keeping parts available for longer than the competition?
I’m curious if this is still justifiably in the BIFL category. I see endless reviews recently about parts failing within 0-2 years, in particular the convection fan. Consensus on Breville products being BIFL seems to have formed 5-10 years ago, but is it possible that their quality has gone downhill in recent years?
