Why the Dyson Cyclone V10 is the best cordless vacuum money can buy

2 Mins read

For several years now I have been a convert to Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners. I bought a new house that is fully equipped with a central vac system but haven’t bothered to actually install one. That’s because my previous Dyson V8 cordless vacuum was so damn good. It’s a 3 bedroom and I had no problem cleaning the entire house with one charge. Check out my full review of the Dyson V8 Absolute that explains all of the nitty gritty about how awesome this vacuum is. But like all things, stuff changes. There is now a new king of cordless vacuums and it happens to be the excellent sequel to the V8 Dyson. Here are my thoughts as to why the Dyson Cyclone V10 is the best cordless vacuum money can buy right now.

1. The Dyson Cyclone V10 has great suction power

The V8 Absolute was a major step up over other cordless vacuums because it was the first that really offered the same suction power that corded vacuums provide. The takes that suction to another level and offers something that really can only be called remarkable. The fact this this little stick vacuum feels like I am using a heavy duty shop vac is quite amazing. Not only have tests shown this to be by far the best suction on a cordless vacuum cleaner, but Dyson themselves have stopped developing new corded models since this things is so good!

2. The Dyson Cyclone V10’s battery lasts

I really had complaints with the V8’s battery. But since picking up the V10 I’ve been able to clean both my house and my car in pretty much one go. I don’t have to worry about putting it on the charger all of the time. Battery life anxiety is truly a thing of the past here. The Dyson V10’s battery is rated to last up to 60 minutes and 20 minutes if you are using their excellent new torque head which is built to better address dust and small particles.

3. The Dyson Cyclone V10’s dirt release is excellent

The only real complaint I had with the Dyson V8 was ejecting dirt that has been collected. Sure, it was better than the previous V6 but I still found myself having to pull out some dust and fluff by hand when emptying it. This has all changed with the way the V10 ejects its contents. Not only this, but the actual dirt bin is way bigger (40% bigger to be exact) this time so you can clean more before you actually need to find a garbage can.

4. The Dyson Cyclone V10’s tools are excellent and you can finally store them somewhere

With the Dyson V8 I had a pretty good arsenal of tools for various surfaces and applications. They have added their new torque cleaning tool which is great for pulling fine particles from carpets. But probably my favorite thing is the addition of tool storage on the wall charger! That’s right, finally we have a place to store all of this stuff.

Conclusion: This is the only cordless vacuum you need to consider

Look no further. If you have a moderately sized house and want the most flexible vacuum out there that still packs a punch then the Dyson V10 is for you. I still don’t feel the need to invest in a central vac. Why would I when the Dyson V10 is just as powerful and is way more flexible? Plus, I can use a central vac to clean my car… This is Dyson at their best, innovating to the point where considering any other products just doesn’t make sense anymore.
