Winter is here and so is the time honored tradition of freezing your ass off while your car heats up in the morning. That’s where a great pair of leather driving gloves comes in. In cold weather you really want to be looking for a pair of durable gloves that are relatively form fitting that have good dexterity. Enter the Hatch Friskmaster gloves. These are basically the pair of gloves that you see a lot of law enforcement officers wearing while they are on the job. They are made of high quality leather that is lined with Honeywell Spectra material for superior warmth. They are also marketed as being able to withstand a knife attack! While I don’t recommend using this as knife protection, its nice to know that the leather is so durable that they can make this claim. These are without a doubt one of the most durable leather gloves around.
Comfort-wise these gloves also fit the bill. They are form fitting and have an elastic cuff to keep them on your hands. The way the thumb is cut offers extra dexterity that you won’t get from cheaper glove alternatives out there either. I prefer a leather glove that fits a little tighter than other winter gloves. This is because I primarily use them for driving in cold weather. Because of the durable lining in these gloves, the Friskmasters are actually pretty decent for wearing outside for shoveling or commuting as well. And the price on these is just right. You aren’t breaking the back but you are getting a very high quality premium product.
Are these the most durable leather gloves?
Overall, these are some of the most durable leather gloves we have found. And considering that law enforcement swear by them, we are very comfortable in giving the Hatch Friskmaster gloves our BIFL buy it for life seal of approval.
